How to make Caramel Bread Pudding?

Introduction: 

The Caramel Bread pudding is a bread-based dessert that is popular in many cuisines around the world. It is made with stale bread and milk or cream, with eggs, a type of fat such as oil, butter, or suet, and a variety of other ingredients depending on whether the pudding is sweet or savoury.The caramel pudding has a high calcium content and a low fat content. The pudding will also help your bones to be stronger. It is also high in protein.

Ingredients:

  • Bread Slices - 2 big slices around 1 cup cubed
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 2 tbl spoon
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk - ¼ cup
  • Eggs - 2
  • Vanilla Essence - 2 tsp
  • Sugar - ¼ cup for caramel
  • Ghee - 1 tsp 
Steps to make Caramel Bread Pudding: 

1. Take some bread slices and cut it into cubes. I used 2 slices of bread. Got around 1 large cup of bread cubes.
 

2. Take bread, milk, sugar, condensed milk, eggs and vanilla in a blender and puree till it gets blended and in the same cup, add 1 cup of milk.


3. Break 2 eggs and add in the blender, also add some vanilla essence.

4. We should add the sugar after adding sugar we have to add some sweet condensed milk.


5. Now it is the time to blend in the mixer.



6. Now the mixture of the ingredients have turned into a liquid form as it is blended. 


7. Take a baking pan, grease with some ghee. Sprinkle some sugar over it and place it over heat. Cook till you get a nice caramel colour.







8. Now cool the tin for few minutes.

9. Pour the prepared pudding on top. Cover the pan with foil or plastic wrap and place it in a steamer and cook for 40 to 45 mins.



10. Remove it and insert a knife to check whether the pudding is done or not.


11. Now invert the container and keep it in the fridge and let it get chilled for few hours.

12. After few hours the pudding is ready. Now I can serve it with slices of the pudding.
